Sox Waste Good Start From Wakefield

(Wakefield Looked Good Today)
(Manny Ramirez Playing the Field)
(Lefty Hideki Okajima, the other Red Sox Import.)

With someone as unpredictable as knuckleballer Tim Wakefield on the mound, it is always a shame when the Sox do not capitalize on a good start by Tim. And thats just what they did today, when they fell to the Texas Rangers 2-0 at the Ballpark at Arlington. Check this line score:

6!P 3H 2R 1ER 2BB 4K

If that is not a hard luck loss, I really do not know what is. But all the Red Sox could muster were two hit, as they continued to be rather anemic on offense. Also effective in relief was the Sox's OTHER new Japanese pitcher, lefty Hideki Okajima, who allowed no runs and no hits (only a single walk) in an inning and one third of work. If they could have hit at all in this game, they would have won. Saturday Julian Tavares goes for Boston against the Ranger's Kevin Millwood.
