Por Larrañaga Double Corona

7" X 50, Natural

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican

Appearance: Another really well constructed cigar. Evenly packed and filled to just a slight give, this cigar was topped with a beautiful light brown Connecticut Shade Wrapper. Pretty

Pre-Light: This cigar clipped easy and the draw seemed to be fine. The pre light notes were of cinnamon, tanginess, and a tiny bit of black pepper.

Burn/Draw: Like I said, this was another well constructed cigar, and it shows. This cigar burned beautifully, straight the whole way down. The draw was nice and easy and produced volumes of cool white smoke.

Flavors: This may look like a real short review, and it is. This cigar really doesn't deserve a full right up. Now by no means is this a bad cigar, but it really isn't fabulous either. It had some nice cinnamon and tangy notes, and the last third had some black pepper. But that's about it. This cigar is mild in flavor and mild-medium in body. Someone who smokes milder cigars might dig this cigar, it was a bit flavorless to me.

SO CLOSE, Yet SOOOOOOOO Far!

(The Only Run In The Game!)(Curt Schilling Was a BEAST Today!)(This Lady Was Right Today!)
(Coco Saving The No-No At The Time. . .)
(In Cruise Control.)(A One Hitter Is Damn Good, And The Sox Needed It.)

In the midst of their worst losing streak on the season (four in a row, six of seven), the Red Sox got a special performance from their aging ace, Curt Schilling. Thursday afternoon in Oakland, Curt Schilling pitched EIGHT AND TWO THIRDS OF NO HIT baseball, before losing his bid when Shannon Stewart lined a clean single to right field after Schilling shook off his catcher (Jason Varitek). Schilling finished with a one-hitter as the Red Sox beat the Oakland Athletics 1-0.

"We get two outs, and I was sure, and I had a plan, and I shook Tek off," Schilling said. "And I get a big 'What if?' for the rest of my life."

Hindsight is always 20-20," Varitek said. "It wasn't the first time he shook off all game. We had like a half-dozen. It doesn't really matter. He made a quality pitch. If he didn't make a quality pitch then you can second guess."

Schilling finished the game with the monster line:

The only other runner Schilling allowed was on a Julio Lugo error on a Marco Scutaro grounder in the fifth inning.

The only run scored in the game, was a solo Home Run with two outs in the first inning by David Ortiz. The Sox resume interleague play in Arizona Friday night versus the Diamondbacks. Josh Beckett (8-0, 2.95) will go for the Sox against Doug Davis (4-6, 3.05).

(Completing the One Hitter.)

(Congratulations All Around.)

Mandy Moore

Amanda Leigh "Mandy" Moore (born April 10, 1984, Nashua, New Hampshire) is an American pop singer and actress. She grew up in Florida and came to fame as a teenager in the early 2000s, after the release of her teen-oriented pop albums So Real, I Wanna Be with You, Mandy Moore, and Coverage. Moore has branched out into a film career, starring in 2002's A Walk to Remember and later appearing in the lead roles of other movies also aimed at teenage audiences. Two of her later films, American Dreamz and Saved!, were satires in which Moore portrayed darker characters than in her previous roles. Moore's private life, including her relationships with tennis player Andy Roddick and actors Wilmer Valderrama and Zach Braff, has been much discussed in the media.

In 2007, Moore is scheduled to star in several films and release a new album, Wild Hope.
