Two in a Row!

(Wakefield and Matsuzaka talk pitching.)(Orlando Cabrera & Julio Lugo: Shortstops Past & Present.)
(David Ortiz Hit His Third Homerun Today.)

(Manny MAkes A Running Catch.)
(Curt Schilling Pitched Fabulous.)

They are on a roll! Haha backed by another great pitching performance by Curt Schilling, the Red Sox won their second straight against the Angels this afternoon, 8-0. Schilling's Line was tremendous:

8IP 4H 0ER 1BB 4K

David Ortiz also added a HR and 4 RBI as the Sox won soundly. The series wraps up on Sunday, with Ervin Santana facing off against Josh Beckett.

Fantasy Baseball Part 2!

Two weeks later and more of the same. Lead but a strong pitching staff, and a quick, run scoring offense, I have been able to get past my teams relative lack of power and still remain in first place! It is too early in the season to really say anything, especially who will win the league, but I wanted to brag a bit!

w00t!!

A Flash Of Offense!

(Wakefield Was Dominant, Again.)(Julio Lugo)(Eric Hinske Scores In The Eighth.)
(Mirabelli homers!)
(Papelbon Came in, in the Eighth.)
(Ortiz and Timlin Celebrate The Win!)

Time Wakefield had his Knuckleball baffling batters yet again, Doug Mirabelli homered, and the Red Sox offense came on late as the Red Sox stomped the Anaheim Angels ( the Los blah blah blah. . .), 10-1 in the series opener Friday Night. Wakefield put up this impressive line, en route to lowering his ERA to 1.38 after two starts:

7IP 5H 1ER 2BB 3K

With that kind of line, you don't need a lot of offense to win. Well the Sox added a little icing to the cake. Besides Mirabelli's blast, both Mike Lowell & Ortiz had two hits (including a double) and three RBI. This is the kind of convincing win one would like to see more often in the young season. They will continue this series this afternoon at 4:00pm, with Curt Schilling squaring off against the Angels Hector Carrasco.

GO SOX!
