Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto

5 1/2" X 50, 12 Year Old Honduran Broadleaf Maduro

Appearance
: Firm and smooth, this cigar was very pretty with its dark mocha toned wrapper and slight box press. The cigar looked evenly packed and generally well constructed.

Pre-Light: Clip was easy and the prelight draw was free and easy. Pre light draw was rich and of dark chocolate and coffee. Decadent.

Burn/Draw: The burn and draw on this cigar are exactly what one would expect from a well constructed stogie. Burn never wandered terribly. the draw was free and easy and produced volumes of delicious cool smoke.

Flavors: I do not get to smoke these guys as often as I would like, but I really enjoy them when I do. These cigars are loaded with rich decadent flavors. The notes of coffee and dark baker's chocolate from the pre light return, which compliment the cigars thick, round smoke quite well. these notes are underpinned and counterbalanced by a nice smokiness that keeps the cigar balanced and not to cloying. This cigar doesn't really develop as much as let you languish in these beautiful flavors like a warm bath. Very Comforting and Satisfying. Recommended.
