Beckett Wins 7th Straight, Sox Dominate Jays!

(Beckett is first pitcher to seven wins.)
(Pedroia heats up, hits first homerun!)

Josh Beckett utterly dominated, and got home runs help from Dustin Pedroia (a three run shot) and three others, as the Red Sox overpowered the slumping Blue Jays and ran their record to a league leading 21-10 in Toronto on Tuesday Night, by the score of 9-2. After giving up a lead off home run on his very first pitch, Beckett was utterly dominant, finishing with the following line:

7IP 5H 1ER 1HR 1BB 5K

Beckett improved to 7-0 in his first seven starts and lowered his ERA to 2.51. This season Beckett seems to be cashing in on all the potential the Sox thought he had when he was traded for, hopefully it continues.

On the offensive side, Pedroia had two hits, a home run, and three RBI, and the Sox got home runs from Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis, and Mike Lowell as well as they cruised to an easy win. Today, Daisuke Matsuzaka tries to right the ship against Tomo Okha.

GO SOX!!
