My Birthday 'Gar: Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedo

6" X 54, Really Fuckin' Maduro!

Well, for the first time in a while, you are not gonna get a full review of a cigar, just some impressions. First this cigar was noteworthy because it was my birthday 'gar, part of my present from Carrie for turning 28 (which included a day on the town in Toledo, dinner at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company, and a really sweet crystal cigar ashtray, which was coupled with a promise that no menthol light ashes will grace it. More on all them later.). Because of that I really wasn't in the condition to do a formal tasting, as I was smoking it as the sun went down over the Maumee River with the sweet sounds of the Toledo Latin Festival floating over the water toward us. Some quick notes though. This cigar is obviously young, the place I bought it from put its first box of them on the shelf yesterday. This cigar is not for the newbie, or weak of heart, calling this cigar full/full right now just might be an understatement. I am not new to cigar smoking, and I was thankful that I had eater a robust meal prior to lighting. This cigar had nice flavors, tangy, molasses and rich oak the ones I remember, but its youth and strength might just trump these pluses to this point. I would love to get a hold of one in more ideal situations and really put the screws to it (or get a box and hide it a way for a while), so hopefully I can. That said, it was a good celebratory stick. More on my birthday shenanigans tomorrow.

But check this out, more birthday wishes from the blogosphere!
