Kenta Kurihara homered and drove in four runs Tuesday as the

Hiroshima Carp routed the Hanshin Tigers 9-0, snapping the Central
League leaders' 10-game winning streak.

Kurihara hit his 22nd home run of the season with a three-run
shot in the first inning and added an RBI single in a five-run fifth
at Hiroshima Stadium.

Alex Ochoa had a two-run single in the fifth. Masayuki Hasegawa
(2-4) picked up his first win since April 10, allowing three hits and
four walks in six scoreless innings.

Hiroshima improved its head-to-head record against Hanshin to
12-8, securing a winning record against the Tigers for the first time
in six years. Atsushi Nomi (4-4) was charged with seven runs and four
hits in 4-1/3 innings.
